After a mere 13 seconds of the tune, you hear a needle sliding across the disc as McBride shouts out, as if from the other side of the room, “No, no, no, put that other record on.” As if someone were fulfilling his request, a fusion track comes blasting from the speakers, sounding like Return to Forever circa 1974, the electric bass, electric guitar and drums locked into a fast and tricky funk line.
